TYSONS, Va. (August 31, 2022) – Savills announced that it completed an 88,000-square-foot lease relocation and expansion on behalf of the commercial printing division of the Vomela Companies at 8000 Grainger Court, a Class-B industrial flex property in Springfield, Virginia.

The 11-year lease consolidates Vomela’s 22,000-square-foot footprint at 220 Perry Parkway in Gaithersburg, Maryland, and the company’s 60,000-square-foot operation at 8401 Terminal Road in Springfield. Savills’ Executive Managing Director Wendy Feldman Block and Associate Danielle Ferrari represented Vomela in the full-building lease at 8000 Grainger Court.

“Vomela was able to secure a long-term space that met their operational goals, with a specific focus on a convenient location for employees, a suitable consolidation of space and the opportunity to further modernize their facility. Amid a very tight industrial market, this was a fast-moving transaction. We successfully negotiated a solution that will provide Vomela a well-suited facility to carry out their business functions,” said Feldman Block.  

The Savills team focused its search on the Springfield market by analyzing the firm’s mapping data to explore where Vomela employees reside and the location of the company’s customer base. 8000 Grainger Court offered a central location for their operations with the ability to significantly expand and upgrade Vomela’s local real estate portfolio.

This property is part of a group of 11-buildings, totaling nearly 750,000 square feet that were acquired by Bethesda-based Finmarc Management Inc. in June from Boston Properties.  Vomela’s full lease of 8000 Grainger played a pivotal role in the sale.
